- Our program takes place from June 2nd – August 1st
ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP
As an Intern in our Offshore team, you will have the unique opportunity to work with a team that is actively building this exciting new industry in the US. This role will have exposure to our pipeline of growth activities including wind and transmission RFPs, M&A and auctions, to expand our project footprint beyond our offshore wind lease in New York - Leading Light wind. All the while, paving the way to make a difference in the future of energyRe and sustainable energy.
- RFPs and Auctions: Support the Offshore team to prepare for the next federal offshore wind auction or transmission RFP.
o Assist energyRe Manager in overseeing multiple workstreams including Commercial, Technical/Engineering, Bidding Credit Deployment, etc.
o Own a defined scope of work within a project workstream.
o Present findings regularly to project team and senior energyRe leadership.
- M&A: Support the Offshore team in conducting M&A and Joint Venture activities.
o Prepare market scans of competitors and key assets in the US market.
o Engage industry players in negotiations and partnership discussions.
o Assist energyRe Offshore M&A Manager in driving M&A analysis and overseeing project workstreams including financial modeling, Stakeholder Engagement, Permitting, etc.
o Present findings regularly to project team and senior energyRe leadership
- Provide support to ad hoc requirements as they arise.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a 4-year Bachelor’s degree program with an expected graduation date in 2025 or 2026.
- Majoring in engineering, business/finance or related disciplines.
- Interest in the renewable energy or clean energy sector.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
