New York's 2035 offshore wind energy target

energyRe proposes the Clean Borough Power Link as a state-of-the-art solution to the New York Independent System Operator's New York City Public Policy Transmission Need. The Clean Borough Power Link has the capacity to deliver offshore wind energy from the New York Bight and off the coast of Massachusetts, and is designed to ensure reliable, cost-effective delivery of emissions-free power for New Yorkers while reducing the state's reliance on fossil fuels.

The proposed Clean Borough Power Link will uniquely leverage the experience and capabilities of energyRe's partner and investor Elia Group, one of the foremost transmission system operators in the world with extensive expertise in HVDC (high voltage direct current) and offshore transmission development, construction, and operations.
